On 27th July 2009 “The NGO World” (TNW) was created as an online forum for professionals of NGO sector to share activities, knowledge, best practices, success stories, case studies, job & training opportunities and achievements. During 2010 floods in Pakistan, TNW practically started humanitarian operations and managing development projects after getting registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 as The NGO World Foundation (briefly TNW Foundation).


A Country with professionals, grass root level community contributing in measureable outputs for self sustainability resulting as greater positive impact.


Networking, capacity building, welfare & development Initiatives with dissemination of expertise and quality services.


TNW joins hands with government functionaries, local & international NGOs, UN and other key aid agencies besides drawing its strength from communities’ active involvement in need driven development process through a participatory development initiative & community based interventions etc.

TNW also responds to human sufferings in emergency and disastrous situations as a first response unit with its available resources all over the Pakistan regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, class, location, religion, colour, cultural diversity and social background with its focus in the areas with massive population living below the poverty line”.

Aims and Objectives:

  • To conduct Social welfare activities and to provide assistance for underprivileged segments of the society without any relevance or regard to politics, caste, creed, colour, race and religion.
  • To initiate Development programmes/projects to eliminate causes of poverty aimed for the uplift of community in cooperation with the entrepreneurs, governmental, national and international organisations and philanthropists.
  • To establish state of the art education and skills development centers to bring the marginalized towards self sustainability and contributors towards society.
  • To provide career counseling, training and perform training need assessment to enhance the capacity of professionals to perform with excellence and overcome their professional short comings with establishment of career development and training institutes.
  • To establish or upgrade existing private/public educational and health institutions/facilities and provide training facility to the teachers and health care providers to ensure enhanced skill level of the teaching and medical staff.
  • To be the first response unit in time of Disaster & work in Disaster Management, assist the Government departments, rescue and aid agencies in times of any crises, organise disaster management trainings and formalize disaster management policies when and where required.
  • To work on Gender Issues, and to promote female cottage industry and work to resolve issues of women working in the cottage industry and arrange technical training or establish technical training institutes for women.
  • To do research work and facilitate partner organisation to formulate policies for organisational development resulting in better service towards community uplift.
  • Information sharing, networking of Organisations, Professional & Community Groups to replicate success stories and lesson learned.
  • To liaison with local, national and international organisations in order to achieve the aims and objectives of the Foundation and receive sponsorships & donations/funds from national and international aid/donor agencies, CSR departments and UN agencies.
  • To Operate/manage and adopt any revenue generation activity, business, investment or projects to sponsor TNW Foundation core mission.
